Many volumes have been added to the Library during the past summer. Most have been of a miscellaneous nature, and a large percentage have been books presented by foreign publishing houses. Of the private donations the most important is the gift from the Gurney estate of 1200 volumes, an addition to the series of gifts made possible by the will of the late Professor Ephraim Whitman Gurney '52.
