...players on the University lacrosse team will be held at the City Club, Boston, Thursday evening, at 6.15 o'clock. S. S. Kingman '12, manager of this year's team, will be toastmaster. The speakers will include Mr. W. F. Garcelon L.'95, Graduate Secretary of Athletics, and P. Gustafson '12, captain of this year's team. Mr. Russell A. ...Saturday the University lacrosse team won the collegiate championship of the United States, thereby bringing the season to a most successful close. The final game was an exceedingly hard-fought contest, and to win required supreme effort on the part of every member of the University team. To Captain Gustafson the highest praise is due, for although suffering from severe injuries, he played brilliantly throughout the game. That victory came to Harvard was due to concerted action and hard work, and the victorious team receives our heartiest congratulations...
