TIME'S timely description of the Sky Tiger by Bell out of Buffalo goes haywire in its second paragraph (TiME, Nov. 15, Transport). The printer's the fall guy (we hope) when he says "two .50 calibre (1½ in.) guns." Calibre is the diameter of the bore between the lands. A ".50 calibre gun" is a ½ in. gun.
