Lovers of athletics in Boston hail with pleasure the commencement of the fall term at Harvard. The Harvard Athletic Club is now the only really active club in Massachusetts. There was an active organization called the Union Athletic Club, but it is now dormant. While Mr. Ferris was on hand the club was prosperous and successful, and it is unfortunate that he is unable to continue his efforts.
