Time was called at about half-past three, Andover having the ball. At first the play on both sides was rather slow, with no large gains for either side. Soon, however, the ball began to be forced towards Harvard's goal and Mowry made the first touchdown for Andover. No goal. Five minutes later, Bliss secured the second touchdown from which Coxe kicked a goal. Score, 10-0. During the remainder of the half, nothing more was scored...

...freshmen played their second game yesterday afternoon at Brookline with the Boston Latin School team. The freshman eleven did not play as strong a game as might have been expected, their tackling being especially poor. Play began at half-past three. Baker, Carpenter, Forbes and Brooks made strong rushes, and a touchdown was scored by Baker, from which Forbes kicked a goal. Time, ten minutes. Carpenter was injured and Schoen took his place. Good runs by Broten and Waters carried the ball within ten yards of Harvard's goal. Harvard gained the ball on four downs and forced it back...

...exasperating form of a cold drizzle, and many men who had intended to support the nine, changed their minds at the last moment. However, in spite of the dismal outlook, about one hundred and seventy men left Boston on the nine o'clock train and reached New Haven at half-past one. The drizzle had ceased soon after leaving the depot, and there was but little question as to the game's being played at New Haven.
