After the signal practice the whole squad, including Kersburg, ran about a mile on the beach in front of the club house. Kersburg's leg is much improved and will probably be in fairly good shape on Saturday. He was in signal practice for half an hour, being then replaced by Gilmore. Before the open practice the University squad had a half hour's secret practice in the cage, which consisted of defensive work on the part of the first team against the attacks of the second eleven, forward passes and onside kicks being the chief plays used by the latter.
