Great reliance is placed in a versatile ground-gaining set of backs. Veeder, at left halfback, although inclined to be slow in starting, is strong on the defense, keeps his feet well and follows his interference. He is also a very reliable punter. Morse and Roome are both fast half-backs. Morse is a hard line plunger, and Roome is especially useful in helping along the runner. ...Harvard team played a magnificent game in the first half and succeeded in holding Yale's powerful attack, twice securing the ball on downs.
