The backs failed to follow their interference, depending on individual work to secure their gains. The first team scored two touchdowns against the second in a slow and uninteresting half, about 15 minutes in length. Both touchdowns were made by Wendell, the first at the beginning of the half on a line-plunge from the 8-yard line through right tackle, the second on a 45-yard run, after breaking through outside right tackle.
