Although inclined to be erratic, this player by his clever dodging running made himself the chief ground-gaining asset of the team this fall. McFarland recovered Freeman's punt, after the opposing back had fumbled, and a series of rushes, featured by the brilliant work of Hathaway, the Freshman halfback, brought the ball to the Seniors 5-yard line.
