Talbott of Cornell made the best distance in the hammer-throw with 150 feet, 2 1-2 inches. He is practically sure of first place and will undoubtedly increase his distance today. Horr of Syracuse, with 144 feet, 10 inches, is assured of second place. In spite of Cooney's failure to qualify, Yale still has a chance for points with Andrus and Goebel.
