New candidates are daily increasing the squad, but more men are needed in the field events, especially in the hammer throw and shot put. The distance men have abandoned running on the road for work on the track, while candidates for the shorter distances are being started with the pistol. Three take-offs have been constructed for the high-jump, pole-vault, and broad-jump. It is not too late...
