Reid furnished the leading exhibition of the afternoon among the Crimson athletes, winning the mile with a 20 yard handicap in 4 minutes 29 1-5 seconds and later taking third in the half. Although he had a handicap in the mile Reid distanced the field by considerably more than the length of his starting advantage. In the half Reid and Haggerty starting from scratch led, running about even until they reached the home stretch. Then from nowhere in particular appeared an unheralded runner, Gerior, of the St. Alfonso A. C., and forged ahead of the Crimson stars to break...

...Second University crew, the combination and the Freshman eight raced over a two-mile course this afternoon. The combination, with a six-length handicap, finished a half length ahead of the Second University boat, which led the Freshman by three lengths. The time of the Second crew was 10.44. With the list of events in Friday's meet limited to seven. Coach Farrell is entering his charges, in only four events. All the regular contests are handicap affairs. An invitation 100 yard dash, with A. B. Miller '27 opposed by Hussey of Boston College and Quinin of Holy Cross has been called off because of the inability of the two latter men to compete at this time.
