...Book-of-the-Month Club selection for June. Solzhenitsyn has asked that the book be priced as cheaply as possible so that a maximum number of people may read it. As a result, Harper & Row will issue simultaneously a paperback at $1.95 and a limited edition of hardback copies of the 606-page illustrated book at $12.50. The author's royalties and some of the publisher's revenue are being plowed back into advertising and distribution.
