...last practice yesterday afternoon the first eleven was given short signal work and a line-up against the second team. No scoring was done but the first eleven succeeded in making many good gains notwithstanding the fact that the second team played a hard game. Freshman football practice, yesterday afternoon consisted of a hard line-up against the second team. In this scrimmage the Freshmen showed great improvement over Monday's practice and played a fast and spirited game. Special attention was directed toward developing the defense, which is improving rapidly. Work in running with the ball was also good and the runners showed ability to keep their feet when going through the line...

...University football team defeated the eleven of the United States Military Academy at West Point in a hard contest last Saturday by the score of 12 to 6. Princeton gave a fine exhibition of football and surpassed West Point in every department of the game. Cooney and Stanard were the most to be depended upon for gains. Cooney scored both touchdowns and kicked the goals, and Stanard repeatedly made gains of five and ten yards through the line. Cooney showed even more speed and aggressiveness than he displayed last year. He has developed excellent ability in kicking goals...
