Bates apparently has a faster team than last year, when Harvard shut them out, 4 to 0, in a slow game with Greene in the box. ...University crew seems lifeless, and during the last few days has not been rowing together well, rushing the slide and slow at the catch. Yesterday the University and second crews had a short spurt, and the second crew, rowing at a higher stroke than the first, pushed them hard.
