Storer again appeared at right end, with Gilman taking his place at tackle. The new combination worked with as few slips as could be expected in the first scrimmage. It was Gilman who stopped Hardwick on the 1-yard line, when the distance meant a touchdown. Captain Storer played a good but somewhat erratic game, once letting Hardwick get outside him for a 25-yard gain, but at another time throwing him behind the line for a 10-yard loss. Brickley was forced to retire from the scrimmage on account of an injury to his leg, but it is not thought that the hurt will prove serious. D. P. Morgan '16, left tackle on the Freshman team last fall, reported yesterday as a candidate for a line position. He is fast and aggressive...
...compelled to practice in the Cage yesterday afternoon, the Stadium being a sea of mud. A number of the regulars were excused from practice and looked on from the side-lines. Pennock, who was cut over the eye in Saturday's game, was in the line-up, however. Hardwick, Trumbull, Hitchcock and Coolidge, all of whom have slight injuries, were given a rest. Bradlee was not present and Freedley and Logan put the teams through their practice. The lack of space restricted the work considerably and practically the whole afternoon was spent in running the men through some new plays...
