...Wallace at centre. End is a new position for Soucy, but he tackles low and hard, and diagnoses the opponent's play quickly. Last year Wallace played in the backfield but his defensive play was exceptionally good. Trumbull was out in playing clothes once more but did not scrimmage. Hardwick and Mahan are coming around fast, while Logan is improving more slowly...

...first string men were injured seriously in Saturday's game against Tufts, and a number of recent invalids were out for the first time. Trumbull, despite the severe cut which he received on his face, will be able to play by the end of the week, while Hardwick ran through signals with the University team. Pennock was back as right guard and Mahan limbered up his injured leg. From present indications, he will have entirely recovered from the ill effects of the torn ligament within a few days. ...playing of the two teams yesterday was not up to the University standard, since the new men in the line-up required a great deal of coaching in the rudiments of the game. Bradlee was the only regular in the backfield of team A, Hardwick being excused because of a number of bruises which he received in the game against Washington and Jefferson...
