Following are the ten highest records of the strength tests taken this fall. In fairness to these men and others it must be said that these tests are merely qualifying ones, and may or may not represent a man's utmost effort. 1, H. R. Hardwick '15 with 1296.2; 2, J. C. Talbot '15 with 1224.6; 3, E. F. Woodruff '16 with 1196.8; 4, V. Freedley '14 with 1182.4; 5, L. H. Mill '14 with 1140; 6, H. S. Sweetser '17 with 1116.5; 7, W. T. Gardiner '14 with 1112; 8, R. K. ...close of the afternoon, the University and substitutes faced each other for 20 minutes in a scrimmage much harder than the first. The only score herein came on the first play when Hardwick recovered a fumbled punt on the seconds' 10-yard line and dashed across for a touchdown. The punt was a long one by Mahan, which Freedley muffed badly, Hardwick being the only man near the ball when he recovered it. The Princeton game showed clearly that Bradlee is needed as a defensive back, that Captain Storer does not play end as well as tackle, and the every effort must be made to stir up action in the line. The shift of Hardwick from back to end merely follows out a suggestion from last year's line-up, in which he played offensive end on punt formations. Of course, it is late in the season to rearrange players, but Coach Haughton has made late changes before and his judgment may be depended...

...chance to show its full strength in the early season games, the men individually at least equal the Princeton players, and have the advantage of experience and perfection in the fundamentals. The game will be a hard contest between consistent rushing of the backfield combination of Brickley, Bradlee, and Hardwick, and trick formations of the heavy Princeton backs...
