Limiting speech is a touchy subject indeed. Freedom of speech is something we, as Americans, cherish and should fight to preserve. When the line is crossed, however, between exercising a right to speak and directly inciting violence, peace trumps speech. ...million-bbl. oil spill would be bad anywhere, but the pipeline leak in the Russian Arctic in October was especially unfortunate. The harsh weather makes it hard for wildlife to survive in any case, and sluggish cleanup efforts virtually guaranteed an ecological disaster.
