...conscious decision not to educate the country too well about the strategic goals of al-Qaeda et al. Had it done so early on, politically attuned junior officers and noncoms would have stepped forward from the get-go to identify Islamist sympathizers like alleged shooter Major Nidal Malik Hasan. That's the way it works. With a more honest and robust definition of the enemy, proaction would have been expected. Sadly, the country is not "all in" intellectually as it was in 1942, and our finest men and women are fighting with half their leaders' brains tied behind their backs...

...Name Is Khan Irrfan Khan is certainly among the finest actors of India, but not the one and only [Feb. 15]. Kamal Hasan, Paresh Rawal and Tabu are just a few other names worthy of mention. While talented stars from the Indian regional-language film industry continuously migrate to Bollywood, I doubt any of Bollywood's megastars will ever fully migrate to Hollywood. India's truly successful actors have no time to think about branching out into Hollywood - their domestic demands are just too great. Khan could because he had time to spare. Had Khan had better looks...
