...battles began when Israeli troops, in reprisal for the deaths of six people at fedayeen hands, attacked guerrilla bases in "Fatahland" between the Hasbani River and Lebanon's Syrian border. Concealed Cache. Responding to those demands, a column of tanks and armored half-tracks clattered across the Lebanese border toward guerrilla strongholds.
