...HAVEN, May 10.- Boating matters have been the most noticeable features of last week, great expectations having been entertained regarding the annual spring regatta, held Saturday. It was felt that this would afford a final opportunity of gauging the university crew before the race at Henley, and its defeat by a crew composed of six of the sophomore eight and two freshmen substitutes, was disappointing. This afternoon the Biennial Games of the H. A. A. are to be held on Holmes Field. The Mott Haven Team has not been well supported by the students this year, although it is one of the leading athletic organizations of the University. The funds in the treasury of the Athletic Association have been so small that for a time it looked as if the team could not go to a training table at all this year.
