...return of Arnold Horween as head coach of the 1930 Harvard football team is no surprise to followers of Crimson gridiron fortunes. At the time of the Yale game it is rumored, Horween told the players with whom he had been working during the arduous 1929 campaign that he would come back for another season and even those less intimately connected with the mentor whole heartedly expected his return next fall.
