Linscott, who has been considered too good a player not to use when not pitching was used first in right field and later to second base where he has apparently earned a permanent position. Heard, who started the season at second and was one of the best hitters in early games, was forced to give up his place due to an injury to his leg but will probably be back in the line-up within the next few games...
