...second university football team defeated the Brown second Saturday afternoon by the score of 11 to 0. The game began shortly after 2.30 o'clock, in a drizzling rain which made the handling of the ball very difficult. Harvard's heavier team had a decided advantage under the conditions, but its superior team work showed that on a dry field the score would probably have been greater. In the first period Harvard secured the ball on a fumbled punt by Brown and rushed it down to the 2-yard line. The period ended here, but in the first play...
...members of the Freshman football squad reported yesterday to Coach H. C. Dewey '12 for the first time. There were 57 men in the squad and from first appearances the 1915 team should be much heavier than the average freshman teams of the past few years. Among the most promising members of the squad were seven men all of whom played on the Groton team last year. Practice will be held today at 10.30 o'clock in the morning and at 3.30 o'clock in the afternoon...

According to a friend he was returning for a heavier boat, and had reached a point about twenty feet off the shore opposite the Weld Boat Club, when in attempting to turn he capsized. The boat was carried down stream by the wind, and as Parsons was a poor swimmer, he was unable to keep himself afloat until aid reached him. The body...
...Bedford team was composed of heavier and more experienced players than the Freshmen, who had only played one game this season. Maguire made many difficult stops at goal and Francke played a good defensive game at right fullback, but the forwards allowed themselves to be drawn out of position and failed to work together. For the New Bedford team Murphy excelled in carrying the ball and in shooting, scoring three goal from difficult shots. The summary: HARVARD 1914. NEW BEDFORD. Maguire, g. g., Ross Francke, r.f.b. l.f.b., Pollard Curtis, l.f.b. r.f.b., Coyle, Harrison Rice Horne, r.h.b. l.h.b., Gorner Grinnell, c.h.b...
