Professor Muensterberg studied at the Danzig Gymnasium, and later at Leipzig and Heidelberg; he was given the degree of Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig in 1885, and in 1887 Heidelberg conferred upon him the degree of M.D.; he was awarded the degree of A.M. from Harvard University in 1901, and was made LL.D. by the University of Washington three years later. He was appointed instructor in the University of Freiberg in 1887, and was made assistant professor in 1891.
