Professor Herman V. Hilprecht, Curator of the Babylonian Department of the Museum, recently returned to Philadelphia after conducting one of the most successful expeditions ever sent out by the University. His work consisted in carrying out archaeological investigations in Asia Minor and in cataloguing antiquities in the Imperial Ottoman Museum at Constantinople. Professor Hiprecht, though his official capacity as cataloguer of these specimens, has succeeded in obtaining for the university many rare archaeological objects.
