...freshman nine played five innings yesterday afternoon with the Cambridge High and Latin school nine, and won by a score of 8 to 5. The game was played on Jarvis and finished before the lacrosse team appeared; but at the end of the fifth inning the field had to be given up. The freshmen played a fair game, batting moderately well, and playing steadily with the exception of the pitcher, who gave a good many men bases on balls.
