Under Suspicion. In 1940, as Germany underwent massive mobilization, Kiesinger received an order to report to Von Ribbentrop's Foreign Ministry for duty. His position was Hilfsarbeiter???auxiliary worker ?in the section that prepared propaganda broadcasts for beaming abroad. Within a year or so, he had been promoted to deputy of the section and given a responsibility for the stations that operated in the occupied areas.
