Harvard made a run in the first inning on a base on balls given to Dean, Hallowell's sacrifice, a wild pitch and Hovey's base hit. In the third inning the Lowell pitcher was very wild, giving three bases on balls in succession. These, with Hallowell's hit, a steal, and two errors netted four runs.
