Controversial DePaul University Professor Norman G. Finkelstein told Harvard Law School (HLS) students yesterday that the Israel-Palestine conflict has been sensationalized and that one of their professors is a plagiarist.Many irked listeners repeatedly disrupted the lecture, creating a tense atmosphere. Harvard Law School (HLS) honored Sadako Ogata, the former United Nations (UN) high commissioner for refugees, by awarding her its sixth annual Great Negotiator Award yesterday. Ogata, who is known for her work in several refugee crises, including Bosnia, Rwanda, and Iraq, said she was very surprised to be chosen for the honor. “I never thought of myself as a negotiator,” she said.
