President Nixon seldom makes house calls. But last week he boarded Air Force One at his Key Biscayne retreat to fly 1,500 miles for a Texas hoe-down at the ranch of his treasured Treasury Secretary, John Connally. For the President even to consider such an odyssey is firm reinforcement of Connally's towering stature in Washington. UNDERGRADUATES should take advantage of several avenues open for expressing support for the graduate students and teaching fellows. Discussion groups will be held with teaching fellows throughout the day, at which undergraduates may learn more about the issues under contention. Ad hoe groups for the support of Union demands should aid in the coordination of strike activities and circulate statements in sympathy with the Union. Most of all, undergraduates should help man Union picket lines and stay away from classes to demonstrate their feelings...

...would like to point out a glaring inaccuracy in your editorial on the GSD yesterday. Throughout the editorial you refer to the Dean or the administration as making decisions on the Hartman case. This is not so. The ad hoe procedures for the Hartman case were devised by a committee of the Faculty and were accepted by an overwhelming majority in a Faculty vote. Since that time the Rogers Committee has had the difficult task of trying to form the committee following the procedures. While the case is under consideration we have not, and we will not, divulge the details...
