This evening at 8 o'clock the Pierian Sodality will give the ninth concert of its series at the South Braintree. Town Hall under the auspices of Thayer Academy. The orchestra which will play this evening will be composed of 45 men, led by Mr. E. H. Hoffmann '18, a first violinist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. ...Pierian Sodality closed an unusually successful season last Friday evening, when the 112th annual dinner of the organization was held. At this meeting the officers for next year made short speeches, and plans for the coming season were discussed. E. H. Hoffmann '18, who is now playing in the "Pops" concerts as first violinist, and is a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for next year, was elected conductor of the Sodality Orchestra for 1920-1931.
