Recently made reproductions of about sixty portraits by Holbein, the famous 16th century painter, the originals of which hang in the Royal Library at Windsor, England, have just been placed on exhibition in the Treasure Room of the Widener Library. The reproduction plates are the work of the Librarian to the King of England, Sir J. W. Fortescue, and have received high praise from competent authorities in this country.
