Kindle Me Delighted If Josh Quittner were elderly with macular degeneration, he would be as thrilled as my Kindle-loving 76-year-old husband [March 30]. The print can be made larger. It is so light, he can hold it. He doesn't lose his place. If his eyes get tired, a soothing voice can read to him. And it is so painless to use. Whiny kids in their 40s and 50s can complain, but for us, the Kindle is priceless. It has changed his life. Barbara Plungy, DENVER

If there is any doubt the techniques were already in the public domain, released detainees have more than detailed the abuse interrogation techniques they...
Pets-Only Planes. Air travel has finally gone to the dogs. The new Pet Airways caters to your beloved Fido or Fluffy, offering dogs, cats and other domestic animals "first class pet travel" in the cabin instead of the cargo hold. Pets even get access to a special arrival lounge. Sadly, you can't fly with your baby; the aircraft are for animals only. Which begs the question, how is that different from every other airline you'd normally fly? Service starts between select cities - New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Los Angeles - on July 14. Fares start...
...morning in No. 4 Radcliffe’s first home dual-meet of the season. It was the lightweights’ first loss of the season and drops their overall record to 3-1. The Varsity Eight had to overcome an early Stanford lead that the Cardinals managed to hold going into the final 500 meters. But Radcliffe’s late charge, beginning with 350 meters left, ultimately came too late, even though the Black and White managed to close the gap from eight seat-lengths to five.“I think we came out with them...
