In the finals of the freshman intramural football tournament, Weld South upset Hollis, 13 to 12, for the Yard title.
Four leagues founded this year made necessary a two-day playoff, with Hollis meeting the American League champions, Stoughton (6-2), and Matthews North taking on Weld South (7-0-1), winners in the Southern League, at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon on the intramural fields.
Holding an 8-1 record and the National League crown, Hollis is rate even with Matthews North (8-0), the Northern League titlists, as favorites in today's contests.
