Matthews South walloped Hollis, 58 to 38, yesterday to win the Yard basketball championship. Matthews previously won the National league title by defeating Holworthy. Hollis was National circuit champion. Matthews' George Sheinberg scored 22 to take high point honors.
Freshman competition featured a "World Series" basketball game between Hollis and Holworthy, representing the American and National League respectively. Hollis won 34 to 31.
