There are two ways of measuring a cow's production: by actual amount of milk given or by the milk's butterfat content. World records for total milk production and total butterfat production have always been held by different cows. Last week a purebred Holstein on Carnation Co.'s experimental dairy farm near Seattle finished a year's test which set new world records in both classifications.
