Nikolaus von Falkenhorst, 83, the harsh-handed Wehrmacht general who led the invasion of Norway in April 1940 and the military machine that in the next five years ruthlessly ground 10,000 Norwegians into oblivion; of a heart attack; in Holzminden, West Germany.
