Alexander Bliss of the class of 1847 died at his home in Washington, Thursday, in his sixty-ninth year. He was a stepson of the late George Bancroft, the historian, and his secretary of legation while Mr. Bancroft was minister to Germany. Colonel Bliss was born in Boston.
