Professor Charles Homer Haskins has been professor of history in the University since 1902, coming from the University of Wisconsin where he had held a similar chair since 1892. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins of the class of 1887 and also received the degree of Ph.D. there in 1890. He studied at Berlin and Paris and became an instructor at Johns Hopkins whence he went to Wisconsin. Professor Haskins is now chairman of the department of History and Political Science.
