The subject of his lecture will be "The Merit-System and Manliness in Politics." This is undoubtedly a most valuable chance for the students of the University, as Mr. Roosevelt is one of the two or three great leaders of the civil service reform movement. Civil Service Reform Club.The executive committee of the Harvard Civil Service Reform Club met last evening in 21 College House, the room of the club's secretary, J. Hall Jones. It was announced that Hon. Theodore Roosevelt of the United States Civil Service Commission will address the club on November 9, in Sanders Theatre. The club will make this an opening public meeting.
