Today the Robin Robertses live on Robin Hood Road in the Philadelphia suburb of Meadowbrook with their two children (Robin Jr., 5, and Danny, 2) and a 3½-year-old Welsh corgi presented to Robin by an upstate New York fan. Mary Ann, who dutifully goes to Connie Mack Stadium when Robin is pitching a home game and turns on radio or TV when he performs on the road, still makes no pretense of being a baseball buff. She admits to knowing precious little about how the other players are doing, is sure only that so far, this season...
When Interior Secretary Douglas McKay announced in March that he would run for the U.S. Senate in Oregon this year, he expected to win the Republican nomination with the ease of a stone rolling down Mt. Danny Kaye and Glynis Johns are trusty-men. Miss Johns is a Captain and Danny Kaye is the Prince's nurse. The Prince, who is eight months old, has been brought to the forest after Roderick, the film's usurping tyrant, has massacred the rest of the royal family. The Prince deserves the throne because he, and not Roderick, has on his bottom the royal birthmark--the Purple Pimpernel...
...since Hitler's rise, when the shadow of horror fell on all writing by and about Germans-this book makes at least one group of Germans seem truly human and amusing. For whatever else they were, Gunner Asch suggests the Wehrmacht soldiers were also members in the brother hood of the gripe, card-carriers in the great privates' international...
