...record of three victories, over weak teams, and two defeats out of a total of five games. Harvard has not stood so low in foot ball since the students here first gained a complete familiarity with the Rugby game. This is certainly an apparently dismal outlook; but we do hope that every effort will be made to offset the bad effect of these defeats by victories in the future. As for the game on Saturday, we prefer not to make any editorial comment on it until all the aspects of the case have been looked into...

...this trouble. On Thursdays at 12.15 the committee will meet in the office of the director of the gymnasium and will be pleased to receive any member or officer of any of the athletic associations and confer with them on questions pertaining to athletics. In this way it is hoped that the committee and the students will be brought into closer relations and a better opportunity offered for exchange of ideas. We hope the students will make the best use of their opportunity and that their relations with the athletic committee will be attended with good results in the future...

Nolen, Harris and Humphrey, with instructions to investigate the constitution, which has not been heeded for some time, and to make a report, with suggestions in regard to any changes which may seem advisable, at the next regular meeting. It is certainly to be hoped that before long the society may regain the position of usefulness which it once occupied, and there seems to be no reason why, with the help of the many students in the university who are really interested in natural history this hope should not be realized...
