...therefore, that Yale should take her turn, and play the game at Princeton. It is, to say the least, a slightly indelicate proceeding, to send delegates to have a part in a friendly meeting, and then directly they return, repudiate their actions, and take a needless stand. We sincerely hope the correspondent of the Globe has been misinformed...
...avoided. Then there are the flagrant errors in pronunciation that we hear on all sides. Indeed, it is said on good authority that President Eliot and George William Curtis are the only speakers in this country who pronounce English with anything like accuracy - to say nothing of elegance. We hope our words on this matter will not fall on barren ground, and we should advise the men who are anticipating commencement assignments to put themselves in the hands of the instructor in elocution, and do their share toward bringing up a better standard of speaking in the college...
...sports. Last spring Yale came very near beating us in the number of first prizes. And although we won the cup, many of our valuable men are no longer in college. At the beginning of this year, there were bills against the Boat Club amounting to $1973.16. These, as well as our own bills have all been paid, and there remains in the bank a surplus of $160.03. Good luck has been an important factor in accomplishing this. First, the Pudding theatricals were both successful. Then...
