Foster of Cleveland, inventory promoter, manufacturer, called his new automobile horn in 1904 after the name of that golden trumpet by which the archangel will at some unknown date announce the dissolution of all things-Gabriel's horn. Gabriel Manufacturing Co. prospered, expanded, invented a snubber to tame the jouncings of springs on automobiles. Gabriel snubbers rivalled Gabriel's horn in fame. Browning's poem, "Pauline", his first published work, is the most valuable book on exhibition.
