This month as many as seven conservative congregations from the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. will join five independent Presbyterian congregations to organize a new "Vanguard Presbytery." In 1971-72, European Russia was bedeviled by a freak winter, when little snow fell to insulate seeds against record spells of frost.
