Possibly most outstanding for the Freshmen was Pat Liles, who won the broadjump, placed second in the 300, and tied for second in the pole vault. Other Yardling winners were Art Cahn in the 1000, Art Hoyt in the 600, Doc Bennett in the pole vault, Jeff Paley in the shot and Dunc Johnson in the 35 pound weight...
