Anarchy in the service of institutionalized diversion is ultimately a conservative phenomenon, resembling the Republican mascot. Naturally, when confronted by the Harvard Radcliffe Black Students Association (HRBSA) and, in the person of Archie C. Epps III, dean of students, the Harvard-Radcliffe Administration, the Lampoon could do nothing but capitulate to its own social adaptation. Hence, the parties concerned created the grey agreement we find looming behind this farcical parade of Tragedy and Comedy...
...seems fruitless, however, a scenario of communication rather than any authentic engagement on the issues, to talk about who can say what as if it weren't ultimately a question of Power--of whether my guys can make your guys do what I want. The confrontation between HRBSA and the "Lampoon" is not only, is hardly at all, an abstract contention over Constitutional Prerogatives...
When discussions broke down between HRBSA and the Lampoon, HRBSA lodged a complaint with the office of the dean of students. Once again representatives of HRBSA and the Lampoon agreed to meet and to attempt in good will to resolve the issue on an informal basis. I now have the responsibility to report the results of three meetings between representatives of HRBSA, the Lampoon and myself. I will first indicate my own opinion of the complaint...
