Ever since the U. S. Embassy in Berlin was damaged by fire in 1931, each new U. S. Ambassador to Germany has had to find himself a residence. Last week in Paris Katherine Bogle Wilson, wife of Ambassador Hugh Robert Wilson, complained that during the last five weeks she had tramped through 102 Berlin houses, could not find one suitable for the Embassy.
